SA filmmaker Vusi Africa on set for new film

Award winning filmmaker Vusi Sidane Africa has been on set for an upcoming film.

Vusi’s work has gained recognition across the film industry and known for his out of the box storytelling.

The 2019 Durban talents Alumni Vusi Africa has a unique voice in story telling focused on African heroes.

He debuted this first feature film “Letters of Hope” in competition at the 40th Durban International Film Festival where he received an award for BEST ARTISTIC BRAVERY.

Based on the historic Letter exchange programme which the ANC facilitated with different countries and intended to keep contact between families in exile and families left in South Africa to intensify the fight against apartheid.

The film written by Vusi and Naledi Bogacwi is based on research conducted for the ANC in Mpumalanga for its centenary celebrations.

Vusi Africa holds an honours degree in film and television, majoring in directing. Vusi is a Film Masters candidate at the Tshwane University of Technology.

Since the release of his highly acclaimed film Letters Of Hope Vusi Africa’s star continues to shine bright as the world takes notice of his incredible film talents.

If Letters Of Hope and its success is anything to go by a lot can be expected from Vusi and hos team as they prepare the next film under company Trial by Media.
