Namakau Star drops Rewind an ethereal ode to freedom and flow

Paradise Sound Systems genre-bending artist Namakau Star makes a return and takes us back in time with honeyed new single titled Rewind featuring LordKez, an ethereal ode to freedom and flow.    

Namakau Star who is of Zambian descent has really made her voice her own “I am getting more comfortable with the fact that I am different and I no longer shy away from my Zambian heritage” Rewind burns slow with nostalgic raw emotion and smooth vocals.

The neo-soul number is an ode to the recovery of a broken heart, Namakau ponders upon her past romantic experiences and confronts the idea of being able to change things if she were given the chance. 

Namakau and Lordkez display their versatility as a team especially because this is said to be their very first song together. With a full body of work on the horizon (3 June) set to be released this winter under Paradise Sound System.  

Rewind is a gentle reminder of Namakau’s ability to take the soul on a journey, it will definitely set the tone for a new era of Namakau Star.

In 2021 the release of the singles Trance and Floating garnered support and recognition from several platforms including Apple Music’s curated playlists, the Queens of RnB segment on MTV Base and publications such as Hype Magazine, Texx in the city, and BreakRoomAfrica.

Known as the “Vibe Goddess” by her loyal supporters, Namakau Star promises a sonic journey of sound with this new body of work and fans and industry stakeholders alike should brace themselves for a futuristic kind of sound, complete with broken barriers and blended genres.
