Cleo Ice Queen star rises with new Def Jam and Johnnie Walker Deals

Zambian award winning rapper Cleo Ice Queen’s star continues to rise as she becomes the first Zambian artist to sign with Def Jam Africa.

Cleo Ice Queen whose real name is Clementina Mulenga has also penned a new brand partnership deal with Johnnie Walker.

The talented rapper is no stranger in the African music scene having won Best Best Female Artiste in Southern Africa at the Afrimma in 2021.

Def Jam Recordings boasts an impressive 35 year-long legacy of making iconic strides within the music industry by producing impressive artists that have shaped music over the years, making Cleo Ice Queen’s signing another breakthrough in the African industry.

The Zambian music star has had an amazing music career so far which has been on the ascendance in the past 24 months releasing multiple hit singles and earning accolades as her fan base and social media following grows.

Being signed under Def Jam is a great achievement not only for Cleo Ice Queen but for the growth of Zambian music industry at large.

Facts on Cleo Ice Queen:

• Born Clementina Mulenga on 14th June, Rapper, Songwriter and presenter Cleo Ice went to Banani International School where she had her first studio experience.
• At the age of 16 Cleo Ice recorded and released her first single “Hands Up”.
• Cleo Ice Queen rose to fame after representing Zambia at the eighth “Big Brother Africa” reality show and releasing her song “Big Dreams” featuring veteran music star JK in 2013.
• In 2016, Cleo released her 15-track debut album “Geminice” which had hit songs like Turn Up featuring Urban Hype, Oxygen featuring Kaladoshas, Addicted and Nanaka among others.
