Me-Ko shares brand new single and video titled Ayayayi
Following the release of ‘Love Inside’ and ‘All I know’, the South African songwriter and producer, Me-Ko, shares a brand new single and accompanying visuals for ‘Ayayayi’.
“It’s a feel-good soulful song for the summer. And at the heart of it, it’s a love song”, Me-Ko adds.
‘Ayayayi’ continues the personal narrative begun on both ‘Love Inside and ‘All I know’, embracing soulfulness and honesty.
Of the track’s narrative, Me-Ko says: “Ayayayi is an expression people sometimes use when they have to give in to the truth about a situation.
In this case it’s the fact that the person you’re in a relationship with can make you lose your mind at times, but in the end you’re just so good together – life wouldn’t make sense without them. Ayayayi!”
‘Ayayayi’ showcases Me-Ko’s signature R&B-pop sound and smooth vocals that shine throughout the feel-good atmospheric pop-production.
Rooted in a true jazz, arrangement and orchestration background, the singer always had a focus on uplifting lyrics and a high level of production, which is furthermore evident is his latest single: ‘hard times make people want to end things, but I still feel those butterflies when you with me’.
Authenticity and quality are two main ingredients of Me-Ko’s musical recipe and turns to his family for inspiration – his lovely wife and 6-year-old son, “They inspire me to write songs and express my thoughts and feelings through music.”
