Boss Babes of South Africa Celebrates Five Years of Impact
Boss Babes of South Africa (BBSA), the digital empowerment platform founded by Kovini Moodley, is proudly celebrating five years of fostering inspiration, motivation, and positive change. The philanthropic platform continues to lead the way in showcasing inspirational stories that transform pain into power, all while celebrating South African excellence through mentorship and skill-sharing opportunities.
Launched in 2020 by Moodley amidst the unique challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, BBSA has grown from a women’s empowerment platform into a vibrant community. It now celebrates South African excellence, facilitates skill-sharing, offers mentorship, and even incorporates humour. Affectionately known as BBSA, the platform has cemented its position as one of the largest organically grown digital media platforms in the country, boasting over 140,000 followers across Instagram and LinkedIn. BBSA champions locally-owned businesses by providing visibility to emerging brands that are disrupting industries and turning passion into profit.

To commemorate its fifth anniversary and in celebration of Women’s Month 2025, BBSA has launched #ShareSisonke, a proudly Mzansi skill-sharing initiative. This venture aims to uplift and inspire South Africans by providing free access to professional insights across a diverse range of topics, including health, wellness, finance, life coaching, mentoring, marketing, public relations, labour law, and mental health.
Moodley explains, “Everyone has the power to contribute, Boss Babes of South Africa is for South Africans by South Africans, and knowledge is power. We are exceptionally grateful that our community has stepped up to the challenge of skill-sharing and also embraced the opportunity to share their endeavours and market their entrepreneurial brands, completely free of charge. This is the unique offering of our platform.” This new venture takes the platform’s mission of providing proudly South African content to the next level, evolving its inspirational features with tangible, community-driven empowerment.
